Drummer Boy (Essential records edition)
Released 11/1/1995 on Essential Records. The Jars were undecided for a while as to which one of their non-Christmas songs would get an acoustic workup on this EP, deciding upon He late in the recording process. They also toyed with the idea of having a live version of He on the EP rather than a studio acoustic version. This version of the CD was initially limited to a pressing of 80,000, and the plans were to not print any more after that (sort of like Frail). But the demand was great, and the album saw many reissues, including a 1997 release on Silvertone records that featured a different track list. As it says in the liner notes, "A portion of the proceeds from this project are being donated to The Child Abuse Prevention Center of Middle Tennessee", a ministry that the Jars did many benefit concerts for in later years.
- Little Drummer Boy (Katherine Davis, Henry Onorati, and Harry Simeone, arranged by Jars and Matt Bronlewee)
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Traditional, arrangement inspired by Peter, Paul, and Mary)
- He - acoustic (Jars of Clay) : I'm pretty sure this arrangement came about as a result of the Jars doing this song at some type of memorial service.
- Little Drummer Boy - grinch mix
